An update from GW Power

An update from GW Power

As we enter our 8th year of GW Power with an exciting and busy year ahead, we are happy to announce we have recently secured our first large scale project for Tilbury Douglas to provide the MEP package for the refurbishment of the Central Delivery Suite at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

We are now doing our commercial air conditioning work in house expanding our M&E capabilities. . We see this as an important forward step in the advancement of our company. We have employed a Hull Air conditioning manager to oversee the AC works.. He is NVQ qualified with over 15 years’ experience in all aspects of the trade including installations of Multi VRV/VRF systems down to single splits, in depth knowledge of fault finding and maintenance making sure we can cover all jobs required from our customers.

After the glorious summer weather we have had recently get in touch with Shaun to enquire about new installations or surveys to existing systems to ensure they are running efficiently.

Works down at Albert Avenue Baths are progressing really well, our team on site have now installed over 16000m of cable, over 1000m of pipework and 600m lagged throughout. Albert Avenue Baths is the latest local leisure facility to receive a multi-million pound makeover including the construction of a new outdoor lido. The project is one we are especially proud to be a part of, working in partnership with our long-term client Hobson & Porter. Following the success of the refurbishment of Ennerdale Leisure Centre we are excited to play our part once again in providing the local community with excellent new leisure facilities.

We have renewed our main sponsorship deal with Hull Boxer Connor Coghill. His next fight is for the Central Area Featherweight Title on 22nd October, for tickets please contact Connor directly via his social media channels; Facebook Instagram LinkedIn

Speaking of sport – 12 members of our team participated in this years Tough Mudder challenge at the end of July! They completed the 15k run with 30 obstacles and raised money for the Hull branch of Andy’s Man Club who offer men a free to attend support group to discuss their mental health and provide a safe space for anyone who is struggling.

Finally, we would like to congratulate our HR & Business Support Manager, Amy Mumby, on her recent success on becoming one of 2022s 30 under 30 and subsequent enrolment onto their LEAP Programme. Since joining GW Power 4 years ago Amy has gone from strength to strength, we have really seen her grow in both confidence and ability over the years and she is an asset to the company. The way she has progressed in her career within GW is both motivating and inspiring for the other members of our office team, especially our admin apprentices. On top of this she is also an advocate for mental health and wellbeing, ensuring we are doing our utmost to look after all our team members.
